GENERAL INFORMATION
DON'T FORGET:
* There are new weekly prayer guides available every Sunday by the magazine rack in the foyer. Please pick one up to aid in praying for our church family (and others).
* Daily scripture guides for reading through the entire "Bible in a Year" are available on the table in the foyer.
* Check the Women's Ministry table and the bulletin board in the lobby OR go to the Women's Ministry page for current information about ongoing small groups, events, etc. for women.
SMALL GROUPS!!! Get Connected with a Small Group! We are starting new groups throughout the months of February and March. Check the Connections Table for a listing of current connection groups that are still needing hosts or sign up to become involved as a participant in a connection group.
UPCOMING DEP CLASSES:
* DEP 101 "Belonging" on March 4, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., in the Conference Room; childcare is available by advanced reservation.
* DEP 401 "Sharing": Part 1 on March 11, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and Part 2 on March 18, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., in the Conference Room; childcare is available by advanced reservation. DEP 101 is a prerequisite for this class. If you are interested in attending either of these classes, please RSVP on a Connection Card or call the church office @ 738-6840.
CONCERT OF PRAYER: February 26, from 6 - 7 p.m. Plan on joining us for a time of corporate prayer that will be unlike any other you have ever experienced.
WANT TO HELP 'OWT'? Would your family or small group consider “Helping OWT” with a combined sponsorship? Donations are used to meet the physical and educational needs of the orphans. Monthly sponsorships of $70 each are needed for 11 of the 20 students served by OWT. Prayer calendars for the orphans are available in the foyer. For more info, call the church office. Please bring your empty aluminum CANS to church to be recycled. The funds raised will benefit the Orphans & Widows of Tanzania. Please place your bags of CANS in the foyer CAN can.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY
If you want freedom from life's hurts, hang-ups, and habits, we encourage you to check out Celebrate Recovery on Thursday nights! Here's the line-up for the evening:
6:00 p.m: Dinner for the whole family in the Annex; suggested donations of $3 per person. NOTE: When the weather is nice, we'll have dinner under the big trees at the Annex.
6:30 p.m: Adult CR – Annex (NOTE: When the weather is nice, we'll meet over at the Annex).
6:30 p.m: Celebration Station – Grades 1st thru 6th meeting in Children’s Worship Room.
6:30 p.m: The Landing for Youth – Annex.
7:30 p.m: Adult Open share groups - various locations
Celebrate Recovery is open to everyone! You do not need to be a part of the Calvary church family to attend; there's no pre-registration or sign-up necessary. CR is a volunteer program. For more information, check out our CR page or call the church office.
NEED A PLACE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Please call the church office @ 738-6840 to help in any of these areas:
á ETC Coordinator (nursery for 0-3-yrs-old) for 8:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. sessions.
á The Pre-K & 3rd grade Sunday School classes at 9:45 a.m. need teaching teams plus an assistant teacher teacher is for 4th grade.
á Sunday School substitutes needed for all classes from infants to 6th grade.
á Children’s Worship (4-yrs-old -1st at 11:20 a.m.) needs registration staff plus 5th Sunday Team helpers.
á Volunteers are needed to help with record keeping, updating bulletin boards, creating photo boards, sanitizing babies’ & toddler’s rooms, and replenishing church bags (YES credit youth welcome).
á Childcare Team is needed for Celebrate Recovery Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
á Resource Room needs a team to organize and restock it.
á Music Makers (children's choir, 1st - 6th grade) needs a teaching team.
á Leaders are needed for Calvary's Kids on Mission Clubs for boys (RA's) & girls (GA's), 1st - 6th graders.
STUDENT MINISTRY (7th – 12th)
SKI & SHARE will be held March 16 - 18. Cost is $95/person plus ½ of your meals; a deposit of $10 is due by February 19. For more info, please contact Scot Cummins or the church office.
STUDENT LIFE MISSION CAMP: Missions Camp will be July 8 - 14 in Durango, CO. If you are in high school and interested in participating in Student Life this year, please contact Scot Cummins to reserve your spot.
EHS CGIF CLUB (Christians Gathering in Faith) regularly meets on Wednesdays @ Noon in Rm. N9 at EHS. For more info, please contact Mr. Fischer at Elko High School.
SCHS AGAPE BIBLE STUDY will be meeting at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesdays in Rm. M-1 @ SCHS. For more info, please contact Mrs. Pongrekun at Spring Creek High School.
SUNDAY NIGHT YOUTH meets on Sunday evenings @ 6 p.m. If you have any questions regarding Youth Events, please call the church office at 738-6840 or see Scot Cummins. Also watch for details about upcoming CBC Student Ministry activities on the Youth section of the bulletin board in the foyer.
HIGH SCHOOL LUNCH for EHS & Homeschooled students is served Thursdays @ Noon. Rides available on 9th Street for those students who need one. Suggested donation is $3; invite your friends! Help is needed for cooking, cleanup, setup, and driving students. If you can help out with donations for lunch scholarships ($12/month), sodas, or by donating homemade or purchased desserts every few months, please call the office at 738-6840.
WOMEN
NEBA WOMEN'S CONFERENCE - "IN THE SHELTER OF HIS WINGS" ~ GUEST SPEAKER: MARSHEILAH LYONS: March 2 - 3, 2012 (Friday at 6 p.m. - Saturday until 2 p.m.) at First Baptist Church, Battle Mountain, NV. Pre-registration cost: $10 (lunch provided). After February 27 (and at the door), cost is: $15. For more info, please contact Patricia Wood or the church office.
LIVING PROOF LIVE WITH BETH MOORE: Boise, ID - May 18- 19, 2012. The conference will cost $65/person plus lodging, meals and transportation. If you are interested in attending this event, you will need to sign-up at the Women's Ministry Table or contact Patricia Wood. A deposit of $65 will be due by February 12 in order to reserve your place at the conference. The remainder of expenses will depend on the number of ladies attending (this will be calculated and due at the time of the event).
YOUNG MOM'S BIBLE STUDY meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from 4 - 5:45 p.m. at the home of Kathy Frederick (Elko).
