 Servant Evangelism
“Because you matter to God, you matter to us.”
Although our Summer of Service ~ 2011 has concluded, we encourage you to continue serving our community ~ and one another ~ in Jesus’ name. We’re talking about “Servant Evangelism.” These are short-term projects designed to "show God's love in practical ways with no strings attached." Remember...Christ did not call us to serve one another once in awhile or when we feel like it; we, as His children & heirs, are called to reflect Him in all that we do: "...Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." ~ Matthew 20:28. Serving others can include a variety of activities that meet the following criteria:

· Done in the name of Jesus
· Provide a beneficial service to people
· Done with no financial consideration expected or accepted (not even donations)

What follows is a list of activities that almost anyone can participate regardless of age or spiritual maturity. They may be done individually, in families, in small groups, or Sunday Bible Study classes. The smaller the unit, the better.

Remember: People matter to God so they need to matter to us as well!
